MINUTES OF THE LONG TERM FINANCIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING OF WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 2012                                                                              Page 1 of 1

The meeting of the Long Term Financial Planning Committee commenced at 7:30 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room of the Bethany Town Hall, 40 Peck Road, Bethany, Connecticut.

The following Committee Members were present:

Stephen Squinto, Chairman

Chip Spear

Sharon Huxley

Aileen Magda

Jamie Stirling



Also present were:

Derry Gorski, First Selectwoman

Michael J. Vigeant of The Center for Research

Mark J. DeNicolo of The Center for Research





Mr. Vigeant and Mr. DeNicolo handed out to members a copy of the “Long Term Financial Plan Research Study Proposal”, dated May 3, 2012, and presented their proposal and options to the Committee and answered questions.



Mr. Vigeant stated the Committee needs to select the option to go with, schedule a work session to get survey draft developed, and within a three week time frame survey can be conducted.



It was the consensus of the Committee to move forward with The Center for Research and to go with the 5 minute/400 call survey.



The Committee chose the following possible dates for a work session from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: May 15th - May 22nd - or May 9th,



Derry Gorski, First Selectwoman, will communicate dates with the consultants from The Center for Research.

There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
