Attendance:  First Selectwoman Derrylyn Gorski, Selectwoman Aileen Magda, Selectman Donald Shea

 

Visitors:  Brian Fournier, Joan Blaskey, Inez Kelso, William Brinton, Annie Brinton

 

First Selectwoman Gorski called the meeting of the Board of Selectmen to order at 8:15 pm.  The meeting was held in the Selectmen’s Conference Room of the Bethany Town Hall.   First Selectwoman Gorski asked all present to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and asked Annie Brinton to lead the Pledge.

 

SET DATE FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING AND REFERENDUM VOTE

The Selectmen reviewed the draft copy of the call for the special Town Meeting.  They felt that #1 on the call should be modified.  A check with Town Counsel on the matter will be done.

 

Selectman Shea moved to set the date of the special Town meeting for 7:00 pm on June 16, 2014 to be held at the Bethany Town Hall.  Selectwoman Magda seconded the motion.  The vote taken was unanimous.

 

Selectman Shea then moved to set the date for the referendum for June 23, 2014 from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.  The second to this motion was moved by Selectwoman Magda.  The vote taken was unanimous.

 

ADJOURNMENT

Adjournment was called at 8:20 pm after a motion was moved by Selectwoman Magda and seconded by Selectman Shea.  The vote taken was unanimous.
