Bethany Conservation Commission

Bruce Loomis called the meeting to order at 8:10. Also in attendance were Brian Eitzer, Lisa Tavolacci and Cathy Rives

Brian moved to accept the minutes of the April 12 meeting, Bruce seconded  and the motion passed.

Bruce shared information from Elizabeth Moore about Open Space Preservation and Development. We will be looking at many systems while developing our own for the town. A list of town properties was shared that we will need to look at and assess to place into a rating system of our own.

There was a discussion as to what type of award the Conservationist of the Year should receive. Brian moved that the winner be allowed to choose where a donation of fifty dollars goes:  to the Land Trust Society or to the Historical Society. Lisa seconded the motion and the motion passed.

The Commission moved into Executive Session at 8:45 to discuss Conservationist of the Year. Executive Session ended at 8:55.

Bruce moved to adjourn at 9pm, Lisa seconded and the motion passed.
